Conneaut Lake

For the Memorial Day weekend, we rented a house at Conneaut Lake with some good friends. The house was large and could easily accommodate the four adults and four children. It was located right on the lake. The road leading to the house was a private road serving only a few other houses, so there was virtually no traffic. We just walked out the door and took in the beautiful scenic view.

The biggest obstacle of the weekend was the unseasonable cold weather -30's at night and low 60's during the day. Having just been through several 90 deg days, we were unprepared for the cold. We managed to get around this by lounged in the house in the mornings, and going out when the sun was in full force during the afternoon.

We still did lots of activities. We fed bread to the carp at Pymatuning Reservoir (a long-held tradition in these parts), we went to an awesome Deer Park petting zoo that had so much more than deer, we took nature walks, barbecued  and generally relaxed by the dock.
